One of my partners in crime and developer decided he was fed up with the public bikes apps. So he quickly developed his own.
It was very, very simple. So we thought, why not keep its minimalistic structure, give it a sexy swish, and make it available to the world?
From this point on, the three of us at Monoqle got to work and released a first version of Cyqle available on iOS and Android.
It all starts with the map. The map is the central element that everything else interacts with. We've made a custom Google Maps theme using Snazzy Maps. Actually we've made two. That's how important the map is.
Now, why would we make two map themes? It's all about legibility and safety while riding. Well, it's also because themes are cool, sometimes. In the day time, the app is bright and clear. But when comes the night, the UI shows its darkest side. We've also made a handy setting so the user can permanently switch to either of them. See for yourself.
We're adding cities as we're improving the app. Don't hesitate to write to us in order to get your city in the system!
